DURHAM, N.C. - Superior Court Judge W. Osmond Smith III found democrat Mike Nifong in criminal contempt for lying to a judge about rape charges against three Duke lacrosse players who were falsely acused. Token punishment of this out of control democratic district attorney may be as much as 30 days in jail, and a fine as high as $500. This is a pitance compared to the sentence these players could have gotten from this DA trying to do anything to pursue false charges. Fortunately this shameful former district attorney has been stripped of his law license, and has already been forced to resign from ofice. Judge Smith: "(Nifong) willfully made false statements" Democrat Nifong willingly and knowingly provided defense with incomplete DNA reports in an attempt to cripple the defense.
